StreetTalkin’ looking for hosts…and Philly wives

Posted by joe_student

“Philadelphia’s internet video channel” StreetTalkin.com, the video-heavy Web site with a veiled connection to the local Clear Channel radio station cluster (Q-102, Radio 104.5, etc.) is holding an open casting call for hosts to staff its in-depth profiles of events this Tuesday, July 7. The qualifications listed on their craigslist post do not present insurmountable hurdles for applicants.

…Male or Female ages 27 - 35. Must be comfortable approaching strangers on the street to talk about lifestyle, personal and hot topic questions. Please bring resume and headshot….

Thankfully “hot topic” is NOT capitalized. One can only ask so many questions like “Which hair dye goes with these skinny jeans?”

More importantly, StreetTalkin is also airing video of the cast of the My 106.1 FM contest “True Philly Wives,” the reality TV rip-off that someone locally surely should have embraced before now. In this instance, women like Ceri (in pic) tell their stories in sound bites amidst quick cutting graphics and effects and we all pretend not to feel excessively self-aware for them.

But hey, winner gets $1000.
