Please Your Lover With Unique Valentine's Day Gifts

Posted by Lauren Kellagher

It’s easy to stop at the store and grab flowers and a card but it would be nice to put a little more thought into the gift giving this Valentine’s Day. If you’re too busy with work or school to think about what you’re going to do for your sweetheart next month, you can use my tips for making your man or woman feel special.

1. Take a hot air balloon ride. There are many places in and around Pennsylvania to take a romantic balloon flight. It is something you will remember forever and it’s more exciting than flowers. Visit Air Adventures to literally sweep them off their feet.

2. Make your own Lovopoly board game. My boyfriend and I love to be competitive and play Monopoly every once in awhile. We get all flirty and spend time with each other while playing one of our favorite games. Now your Monopoly game can be personalized with your photos, first date outings, landmarks, birthdays, and anniversaries. Simply visit Lovopoly to personalize and order your custom game of love.

3. Get a spa day for two where you can enjoy a relaxing massage together. I’m sure both of you are stressed and easing some tension in the body could definitely help your relationship. Get romantic and sensual and find a spa in your area by visiting Spa Finder. Another idea would be to stop at Bath and Body Works to grab some lotion, oils, and candles to create a spa right at home to give each other a massage.

4. Cooking dinner for someone never gets old. A dinner made by your lover is enjoyable because you know they had you in mind while preparing it. There are tons of food and drink combinations to make a romantic menu that will put you both in the mood. I suggest visiting The Food Network for Valentine’s Day recipes including videos to guide you.

5. Give them a Sun Jar This jar stores sunlight during the day to use as a nightlight at night. It is more unique than a candle and provides those healthy rays of vitamin D that many of us don’t get enough of during the winter months.

6. Romantic movie collection. Give your love a collection of their favorite movies. Purchase a collection of Romantic Movies or mix and match some of their favorite movies or TV series seasons that you can watch together.

7. Give them an iPod. There are many different model and color choices for you to customize a great MP3 player for your significant other, then create playlists of their favorite songs or ones that remind you of them.

8. Helpful cooking gadgets. If your man or woman is a coffee lover, get them an espresso machine or coffee maker so that you can spend a few extra minutes in the morning making your favorite coffee drinks. Maybe she’s a sushi lover, so get her a cute sushi set. Use your imagination, you know your lover better than I do.

Hopefully these suggestions will make pleasing your partner a bit easier.
