Get In The Mood For Love
Posted by Lauren Kellagher
Is it just me or do people seem to be forgetting about Valentine’s Day? Maybe everyone is depressed because the holidays are over and they’re sick of the cold weather, or the holiday of love is just repetitive and boring. I’m going to try to look on the bright side and list some ways that you can get excited for Valentine’s Day.
1. Read US: Americans Talk About Love Head to the bookstore (maybe you’ll pick up a date there) or order this book online. It is aww-inspiring collection of the ups, downs, ins and outs of relationships and love. Read about how different types of people from all over America experience love and even if you think you’re hard-hearted, I think this book will get you in touch with your softer side.
2. Make a love playlist for you or your lover’s iPod. The list of songs out there about love is endless, so purchase MP3s on amazon.com or visit iTunes and put together a playlist that you can listen to each day as you're getting ready for work or class and I’m sure it will get you thinking about love.
3. Put together a Valentine’s Day menu. Look for drink recipes online for special love elixirs and include dishes with aphrodisiacs. Some foods said to get your mind on love making are asparagus, avocado, bananas, chocolate, oysters, and strawberries.
4. Start planning the special date for you and your sweetheart. It’s not too early to start making reservations because you want to make sure you have that special seat reserved at a romantic restaurant. Refer to my post about date ideas for Valentine’s Day in Philly for some suggestions.
5. Go shopping to pick out a cute or sexy Valentine’s Day inspired outfit. Beside all the decorations and romantic atmosphere, your date just wants to see you looking hot, so wrap yourself up nice even though it may end up on the floor later.
Hopefully these suggestions will get you more excited for Valentine's Day.
