Dinner for the family

Avalon restaurant in West Chester is hosting a series of family-style dinners starting this Sunday.
Diners will be able to chow down as a group on Italian favorites like calamari, salad and manicotti.
To kick things off, the restaurant is hosting a recipe contest, and the winner will receive a Sunday night dinner for up to 15 people. The recipe will be named after the family and added to menu. Not a bad way to create a little name recognition for your nearest and dearest.
If you do go, you'll have lots of choices. One ordering option has an antipasti and cheese platter to share, followed by a salad, pasta and cookie plate for under $21 per person. Another option offers all of that, plus an entree and choice of dessert for under $28, while another option boasts some of the best items on the menu.
