Gift cards worth buying yourself

I'm all about saving money while eating out, which I suppose is probably why you read this at all. Those of you who share my obsession probably already know about Restaurant.com, those who don't, it's time you learn.

Restaurant.com sells gift certificates at a hugely discounted rate. You can get gift cards valued at $10 for $4, ones for $25 at $10 and occasionally ones for $50 at $25. Not bad, right?

There are a couple catches, of course. Most have to be used on dinner. (As opposed to what? Puppies? Rainbows?) Some have a minimum purchase. Others have day of the week restrictions. But still. If you want to hit up Chifa for just a few bucks, it's a reality.

Now, go, and eat like a king while only paying like a pauper.
