Eagles, food, Congressional candidate

A local Congressional candidate is hoping to cash in on the area’s love of the Eagles and good food.
The Young Republicans for Damian Dachowski will hold a Grand Chili Cook Off to benefit his campaign on Sunday from 12:30 until 4:30 at Spring Mill Fire Co. in Conshohocken.
Guests are invited to enter a crock pot of chili or just eat the entries while cheering on the Eagles via a big screen TV.
The contribution is $50 per person and includes chili, beer, wine and soda.
Spring Mill Fire Co. Chief Vince Messantonio will judge the chili and award the winner during halftime.
“I’m ready to debut my ‘Campaign Trail Chili,’ ” said Dachowski, running for the Republican nomination in the 13th District. “But what might be even easier to digest are my solutions for a smaller, smarter government. I thank these incredibly impressive younger members of the party for their support in getting my message out. They’ve inspired me to work as hard as I can for them.”
The candidate is a Huntingdon Valley resident and practices family dentistry at d3 Dental in Horsham. He serves on the Montgomery County Board of Health and is on staff at Holy Redeemer Hospital.
