A dining roundup

Posted by Kaytie Dowling

Here's a quick rundown of all the interesting, but life-changing tid its I've come across this week:

You already know that Drinker's is a great spot in the city for a beer and a relaxed atmosphere (Well, unless you go during happy hour... Then it's swamped with suit-clad yuppies who are there for the Dollar Tacos. Smart yuppies...) Did you also know that there's a University City location, aptly named Drinker's West? True story!

Bourbon Blue, Manayunk's classiest Friday night date spot, is also the place to go on a Thursday. Once a week, the restaurant is now offering a prix fixe version of its New Orleans-based menu. And, it'll only set you back $30 per person. In keeping with the theme of threes, you can also get Bud Lights and three-olive mixed drinks for $3.

And lastly, the Brick Hotel now has its own prix fixe menu. You'll get three courses for $25: soup or salad, entree and dessert. Whatever you do, be sure to order the Jim Beam banana supreme.
