How about a little charity with your dinner?

It's always nice to hear about people giving back, so here's another story of a local do-gooder. This time, the giver is Bruce Cooper of Jake’s Restaurant (partenered up with Journey’s Way, North Light Community Center and the Manayunk Development Corporation) and the act of kindness is cooking and delivering dinners to shut in seniors.
This year, it'll be 30 volunteers who bring 400 meals to the elderly and homebound. They'll be enjoying some good eating--turkey with all the trimmings.
If you want more info on the project, check out Journey’s Way, which provides programs and resources to more than 3,000 older people .
