Crows, Crowes to play AC on consecutive days

Love it when a plan comes together.

The Counting Crows, playing with Michael Franti and Spearhead and Augustana will precede the Black Crowes, with Levon Helm Band (!) on consecutive days, Friday and Saturday, Aug. 28 and 29, at Borgata’s Event Center in Atlantic City. Tickets for the former go on sale July 4 at 10 a.m.; Black Crowes tix are already on sale.

While neither band has been touring on new material - the Crowes are releasing new studio record Before the Frost...Until the Freeze on Sept. 1 - both are solid bets to deliver energetic performances in a smaller venue than usual.

Near the beach. In the summer. On consecutive days. … What the hell are you waiting for?
